Myth #1 : Midwest people are not nicer than Californians

There s a saying that Midwest people are nice. I must say they are not nicer than Californians. They are "nice" to "like-minded" folk only. Conformists. Open minded non passive aggressive people need not apply. Does that mean entrepreneurs? If one doesn't do things the way they ve always been done are you therefore a rebel, a nonconformist? If one does not gossip in the Midwest, does not take pleasure in others pain in their personal lives then it seems you do not fit in the Midwest small towns. They have nothing else to do you say? Everyone does it you say? Baloney to you I say. You are a hipocrit. A coward if you buy in to the social immaturity in the Midwest small towns. Yes. Socially immature judgmental pew warming hippo critical unforgiving  people is the majority of people I be been exposed to in my observations for the last few years in the Midwest. California allows more anonymity in lifestyle but I also don't run across many Californians who gossip or find pleasure in hearing gossip
